Peri Doshi-O’Neill joined the My School in Motion team to provide organizational and technical support to this exciting program. She has had a long appreciation for the emotional and physical benefits of an active lifestyle. In particular, she has a love for hiking, paddle boarding and yoga. After over 10 years of developing her own yoga practice, in 2009, she began volunteering in her children’s classrooms to teach children’s yoga. Seeing the benefits of sharing yoga with children, led her to complete the YogaWorks Kids Yoga Teacher Training and the Children’s Yoga Teacher Training Program with Karma Kids Yoga. In 2014, she suffered an accident that put her in a wheelchair for 3 months and subsequently required her to learn to walk again. It was through this experience that she gained an even more profound appreciation for mobility, the benefits of movement and the gift of being able to share this knowledge with children.
She holds a BA in Political Science from UC San Diego and a JD from Hastings College of the Law. Currently, she runs her family’s property management business and teaches yoga to first through fourth graders weekly.
