
Meredith Phillips is an associate professor of public policy and sociology at the University of California, Los Angeles. She teaches classes on research design, statistics, and education policy and conducts research on the causes and consequences of educational inequality. She is the co-founder of two non-profits focused on understanding and improving students’ educational outcomes (EdBoost and LAERI). Phillips earned her AB from Brown University and her Ph.D. from Northwestern. Her children have both attended Overland Elementary, where My School in Motion was first developed and implemented.
