
Daisy Moore-Lalwani Julian has been involved with My School in Motion!® since its inception. She was moving on the schoolyard with her children every morning during the first years of the program and joined the board of directors when the organization formed in 2013.
Daisy is a therapist in the intensive mental health program at Children’s Institute, Inc. She provides trauma-informed care to children, youth and adults. Daisy received a master’s in social work from the University of Southern California in 2020 and is an associate clinical social worker working towards becoming an LCSW.
Prior to becoming a therapist, Daisy worked for a range of nonprofits, focusing on communications and fundraising in the fields of education and health and safety. Daisy is a former public affairs director for the American Red Cross of Santa Monica. She served on the board of directors of Friends of Overland Elementary School for 7 years, including stints as both president and board chair. Daisy has held numerous on-campus volunteer jobs. In addition, she has volunteered for Vassar College alumni event planning and fundraising for decades. She has served as a mentor for a foster youth and for a college student from Rwanda.
Daisy earned her BA in Victorian Studies from Vassar College and her first master’s degree in print journalism from the University of Southern California. She is a mother, step-mom and foster mom. During her free time, Daisy enjoys walking, swimming, reading and travel.
